strat·e·gy – /ˈstradəjē/ noun: “the art of planning and directing overall military operations and movements in a war or battle.”
I was told recently that a business with a $50k marketing budget doesn’t need a strategist…strategy is the art in everything we do. Entrepreneurs don’t go into business without a plan or approach, a military-style competition assessment. These entrepreneurs have a formula they have developed to reach their price point. This formula is analyzed against every business owner's purchase to keep their business thriving. But why does it often stop with marketing dollars? Every dollar your business spends on marketing should be analyzed for relevance and ROI. Sure, some marketing avenues are challenging to determine ROI. We often label these mediums as “brand awareness.” We need to ask how much of your budget should be dedicated to brand awareness and how much of the budget should be devoted to trackable avenues such as digital. No worries if you don’t know the answer; this is why hiring strategists matters.
It’s a battle out there to meet your audience and earn the sale – together, we can do this!
